{"id":3884,"date":"2025-03-13T11:16:33","date_gmt":"2025-03-13T11:16:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/buzz7.info\/?p=3884"},"modified":"2025-03-13T11:16:40","modified_gmt":"2025-03-13T11:16:40","slug":"man-remanded-for-allegedly-raping-4-women","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buzz7.net\/?p=3884","title":{"rendered":"Man remanded for allegedly raping 4 women"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"td_block_wrap tdb_single_content tdi_98 td-pb-border-top td_block_template_4 td-post-content tagdiv-type\" data-td-block-uid=\"tdi_98\">\n<div class=\"tdb-block-inner td-fix-index\">\n<p>The case of one Yaya Camara,\u00a0 remanded after being accused of raping four women in Sukuta, continued\u00a0 under Magistrate I Jallow of the Brusubi magistrates\u2019 court yesterday,,<\/p>\n<p>The accused, who was unrepresented is facing four counts charges of rape all of which he denied.<\/p>\n<p>However, the case could not proceed as most of the witnesses are victims of the accused and were reluctant to come and give testimony for fear of exposure.<\/p>\n<p>According to police prosecutors led by Inspector Jaiteh, the accused had allegedly opened a Facebook account under the name Kevin McCarthy , a resident of USA, through which he chatted with the woman and directed them to himself in the Gambia to help them acquire\u00a0 a US visa . \u201dHe would tell them that Kevin directed them to him for a visa, and would demand sex with them on the pretext of helping them get a visa,\u201d the prosecutor said.<\/p>\n<p>The policeman said only four witnesses appeared since the case was mentioned, one victim, two police investigators and another one who assisted in the apprehension of the accused.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring the process of his arrest, we discovered that the accused was in contact with up to 80 women, targeting them for sexual exploitation,\u201d the prosecutor alleged.<\/p>\n<p>The case continues today.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"td_block_wrap tdb_single_tags tdi_101 td-pb-border-top td_block_template_4\" data-td-block-uid=\"tdi_101\">\n<div class=\"tdb-block-inner td-fix-index\">\n<p>Source: Standard Newspaper<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The case of one Yaya Camara,\u00a0 remanded after being accused of raping four women in Sukuta, continued\u00a0 under Magistrate I Jallow of the Brusubi magistrates\u2019 court yesterday,, The accused, who was unrepresented is facing four counts charges of rape all of which he denied.
