Michail Antonio says he \u2018didn\u2019t feel safe\u2019 in his Ferrari before \u2018almost dying\u2019 in a horrific car crash.<\/p>\n

The West Ham<\/a> striker crashed into a tree in Epping Forest on his way back from training on a stormy Saturday back in early December<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The haunting pictures that surfaced on social media<\/a> left fans questioning if Antonio was still alive.<\/p>\n

Antonio spent more than three weeks in hospital with a broken leg<\/a> but says he was given \u2018another chance at life\u2019 after being \u2018close to dying\u2019.<\/p>\n

A few hours before the crash, Antonio had decided to take his Ferrari to training as he felt too \u2018lazy\u2019 to get some bags out of his other car.<\/p>\n

\u2018The back of the car kept swinging out on me, so I didn\u2019t feel safe,\u2019 he told BBC One<\/a>. \u2018I had had it for three weeks and I was already thinking about giving it back.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019ve always been a fan and friend of sports cars and old classics, but I can\u2019t lie to you, sports cars are not my friends.<\/p>\n

\u2018So right now, I have a Mercedes people carrier and my brother is my driver. For now, anyway, I\u2019m staying far away from sports cars.\u2019<\/p>\n

Antonio remembers \u2018nothing\u2019 from the crash despite speaking to police and an ambulance crew from inside the wreckage.<\/p>\n

\u2018It\u2019s weird, because the whole way through this, I have been told that I was awake and was speaking to everybody \u2013 the police, the people, and the person who found me,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n
