Senegal’s digital platform E-Senegal is now fully operational again after several days of outage, according to officials overseeing the system.
In a statement, Sénégal Numérique (Sénum SA) said the disruption was caused by a major technical incident affecting the hosting infrastructure. The failure, which occurred shortly after the platform’s official launch, also impacted several other digital services.
Mouhamadou Kabir Diop, Secretary General of the agency, explained that technical teams, supported by infrastructure partners and experts, worked for several days to resolve the issue. The intervention required extensive work to restore full service functionality.
Authorities confirmed that the platform is now “fully operational” and expressed appreciation for users’ patience. They also pledged continued efforts to strengthen the system’s reliability and performance.
The incident comes as Senegal accelerates its digital transformation agenda, with E-Senegal positioned as a one-stop platform aimed at simplifying access to public services and improving administrative efficiency.
